A seasoned tourism executive with more than 35 years of experience in the industry, Don serves as the president & CEO of Destinations International, the leading global association for tourism and destination management professionals.

Previously, Don served as the president & CEO of Choose Chicago, the official destination marketing organization for Chicago, responsible for marketing Chicago business and leisure travelers throughout regional, national and international markets. He also held the CEO position at the Indianapolis Convention & Visitors Association and Seattle Convention & Visitors Bureau.

He’ll delve into the role of tourism in communities’ quality of place and economic development initiatives.
